So when we sit down, I won't rush to hand you more ideas. We start with your business numbers and lay out the whole business picture together, calmly, until it is clear.
How I think
Rebuild the business from its numbers, trace results back to causes, and play choices forward into the future.
What is happening? First we see the whole business picture: results, numbers, process, people.
Why is it happening? We separate symptoms from causes and find the one constraint that is really holding you back.
What happens if this continues? Before you put in more money or people, we look at what it does to cash, capacity, people and risk.
What comes first, and what can wait? Every YES has a cost. Once you are clear on what not to do yet, things get a lot lighter.
